Here’s what you have to do to connect your own social media accounts:

  1. Go to the Home section (from the left sidebar)

  2. Click on ‘Connect social accounts’ ⇒ you will then be directed to a page from where you can connect and add your own social media accounts

  3. On the left side of the panel, you will see all the social platforms you can connect. Click on the ‘Connect’ button according to the platform you’re interested in.

  4. Authorize your account and follow the steps provided by the native app

Make sure to enable access to everything in order to retrieve data for all possible insights.

At this point, you’ll have to follow the steps required by the platforms.

And don't forget to save everything.

  5. Add the connected profiles. After following these steps, on the right side of the screen, you’ll have a panel that shows the profiles you just connected. Click on ‘Add profile’ in order to add the profiles to the project

Click on the little 'eye' icon if you don't want those accounts to be displayed in the dashboard.

Once the profiles are connected, you can find them in the panel, and you can add them to any project at any time.

Connected accounts will have the green 'Auth' icon (left sidebar) and will be found in the Home section as well.

❗️Note: When you see the red notion that says ‘disconnected,’ it means that you have to connect to that specific platform again. You might have lost access to the account, or the native app made some changes to its settings.

❗️Note: In order to connect your accounts to Socialinsider, you must have access to them. This means that you manage those pages/profiles and are able to give permissions.

❗️Note: For LinkedIn business pages, you need to have Super Admin access in order to connect the account to any third-party app.

Tips & Tricks:

  • When you connect your own accounts, you'll have access to private metrics such as Instagram Stories insights, demographic insights, and more.

  • You can also add the Ad Accounts related to the Meta pages you manage.

  • If you manage more accounts and don't want to see all of them in the dashboard, you can use the little 'eye' icon, and they won't be displayed anymore.

  • You can track the same account across multiple projects, and it will count as one account only.
