Content Pillars is a powerful feature that helps you organize, track, and optimize your social media content strategy.

The feature offers two distinct approaches to content categorization:

  1. AI Content Pillars: Automatically generated based on your industry profile, these pillars use artificial intelligence to classify your posts into relevant themes.

  2. Your Content Pillars: Custom categories that you create manually to align with your specific content strategy and business goals.

Why Content Pillars Matter

In today's digital landscape, creating engaging content isn't enough β€” you need to understand what works and why. Content Pillars provide the structure and insights needed to:

Using Content Pillars Filters

After setting up your content pillars, you can start having fun. 🀩

To gain deeper insights into your content performance, you can start using the magic filters:

Step 1: Choose the profile

Go to the profile you want to analyze β€” this is the profile you previously added to your account.

In this case, the Instagram profile for Netflix.

Step 2: Use the filters

On top of the dashboard, you'll see the Content Pillars filter.

Use this filter to open the Content Pillars available for the selected profile.

Both AI-generated and Custom Content Pillars are available here. The AI Content Pillars are based on the industry the profile is part of β€” in this case, Netflix is part of the Entertainment industry.

To see the data for specific content pillars, you have to make your selection.

Don't forget to press Apply.

The ability to filter by Content Pillars enables more granular insights into which types of content are being prioritized in the social media strategy of this profile.

By leveraging both AI-generated and Custom Content Pillars, you can develop a more focused and effective social media strategy that resonates with your audience and achieves your marketing objectives.

Note: If you don't have any custom content pillars, you will only see the AI Content Pillars.

Step 3: Explore the insights

After the selection, all metrics will show accordingly.

The metrics will only show the numbers for the posts with the AI Content Pillars selected.

For example, the KPIs presented below show the numbers for the selection that was previously made (Teasers & Promotional Clips, Event Coverage & Live Updates).

Step 4: Check out the charts

There are also two additional charts that showcase the AI Content Pillars present in the profile's performance.

  • AI Content Pillars β€” This bar chart shows the most used content pillars in the posts published by this profile in the selected time period. The content pillars are ranked by the number of times they were used.

This chart can be found in the Content section.

  • AI Content Pillars Engagement β€” This panel shows the most engaging content pillars used in the posts published by this profile in the selected time period. The bar chart shows the engagement on each content pillar, while the table provides additional context, listing the total number of posts published under each pillar and the total engagement on those posts.

This chart can be found in the Engagement section.

Note: Begin by reviewing your AI Content Pillars and creating a few custom pillars that align with your unique content strategy. Start tagging your content and monitoring performance to gain valuable insights that will help you refine your approach over time.
