The Insights Hub is where Socialinsider tells you when something relevant happens across your profiles. Your home and dashboards stay exactly where they are. The Insights Hub sits alongside them and flags the moments worth your attention, so you don't have to go looking for them.
Each insight tells you what happened, why it happened, and lets you continue the analysis with Socialinsider AI in one click. It covers every profile in your project, yours and your competitors'.
How the timeline works
Insights appear in a timeline, newest first, a bit like a notifications feed. They're grouped into Today, This week and Earlier, so you can see at a glance what's new since your last visit.
You don't need to set anything up. As Socialinsider collects data for the profiles in your project, new insights are added to the top of the timeline.
The four types of insights
Every insight is labeled with one of four types, so you can tell at a glance whether it's good news, a warning or a win.
Type | What it means | Example |
Opportunity | Something is working better than usual and is worth doing more of | Reels are getting twice the engagement rate of carousels this month |
Risk | Something is slipping and worth a closer look | Engagement rate dropped compared with the previous period |
Top performer | A single post beat the profile's own record | A post became the profile's most engaging post ever |
Milestone | A profile crossed a follower count milestone | A profile reached 100K followers |
How to read an insight card
Every card has the same three parts, so you can scan the timeline quickly.
The visual. Depending on the insight, this is the post itself, a line chart, a bar chart, a table or a single key number.
The what. The headline tells you what happened, for example which profile, which metric and how much it changed.
The why. A short explanation of what's driving the change, such as a few posts doing most of the work, a shift in posting volume or a format that's performing differently.
The card also shows the key metrics behind the insight and the period it compares, so you always know what the numbers refer to.
Here's how to read this card:
Risk · Engagement tells you this is a warning, and that it's about engagement.
The headline sums it up: patagonia's latest Instagram posts are getting less engagement than usual.
The chart shows the engagement rate per post over the last 30 days. The darker line is the latest 3 posts, and the lighter area is the usual level set by the posts before them.
The numbers put it in figures. The latest posts have a 0.06% engagement rate, compared with 0.14% for earlier posts, a 54.4% drop. The comparison covers 25 posts published between Sep 21 and Oct 21, 2026.
The why explains the drop. patagonia's strongest earlier posts were about fossil-fuel politics, public lands and conservation, and the latest posts haven't covered those themes. So the drop isn't random: the audience engages most with a specific kind of content, and the latest posts moved away from it.

Every insight is a starting point. When you want to know more, continue the conversation with Socialinsider AI.
Open the Insights Hub from the sidebar.
Find the insight you want to explore and click Ask Socialinsider AI on its card.
Socialinsider AI opens with the insight already loaded, so you don't have to explain the context.
Ask your follow-up question, for example: "Which posts drove this?", "How does this compare to my competitors?" or "What should I post next week?"
Tip: Use the Insights Hub as your daily check-in. A few minutes each morning is usually enough to see what changed and decide what needs your attention.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my Insights Hub empty?
Insights need data to compare against. If you've just created a project or added your first profile, add a few more profiles (your competitors are a great start) and give Socialinsider some time to collect data. New insights will start appearing as soon as there's enough to compare.
How are insights found?
Socialinsider analyzes the data of every profile in your project and looks for meaningful changes and patterns. The numbers on each card come straight from your data.
Can I change the date range?
Each card shows the period it compares, so there's no date picker in the Insights Hub. For a custom time frame, open the profile or ask Socialinsider AI.
