AI Themes are the topics a profile actually posts about, found by Socialinsider's AI. Instead of setting up rules or tagging posts yourself, you ask for suggestions and the AI reads the profile's posts to find its recurring themes, for example Sustainability, Product Drops or Community Stories.
You decide which suggested themes to track. Tracked themes become Content Pillars, so you can see how many posts belong to each one and how they perform.
AI Themes work for any profile in your project, so you can use them to understand your own content or to see what your competitors focus on.
Where to find suggested themes
Socialinsider suggests themes for every profile automatically, so there's nothing to set up.
Open a profile and go to its Executive Summary.
Scroll to the Content themes card, right below the Key Insights Summary.
You'll see the profile's top 3 suggested themes, each with the share of posts about it. For example: Suggested because 39% of posts are about this.
The share of posts is an estimate. You get complete numbers once you track the theme.
For each suggestion, you can:
Track it to start following the theme.
Edit it, for example to rename it before you track it.
Dismiss it if it isn't relevant to you.
To see and manage all of a profile's themes in one place, click Edit in AI Themes.
💡 AI Themes belong to the profile they were suggested for. Profiles in the same project can post about very different things, so each one gets themes that fit its own content.
How to track and edit AI themes
Track a theme
In the Content themes card, click Track next to the theme you want to follow.
2. The theme is saved to the profile, with complete numbers, and starts showing up in Content Pillars → Overview.
You don't have to track every suggestion. Keep the ones that match how you plan and report on your content.
Rename a theme
Go to Content Pillars → AI Themes and open the theme you want to change.
2. Edit the name and save.
Renaming is useful when you want themes to match your team's own wording, like changing 'Eco Messaging' to 'Sustainability'.
Stop tracking a theme
Go to Content Pillars → AI Themes and find the theme.
Click the bin icon to remove it.
The theme disappears from Overview and filters. You can always ask for new suggestions later.
Where to see the results
Content Pillars → Overview. See all your tracked themes side by side, together with your Query Builder and Manual Themes. You can filter to a single profile.
Posts. Use the content theme filter to see only the posts in one theme.
The profile's Content Pillars section. See the themes for one profile while you're looking at it.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the share of posts an estimate?
Suggested themes show an estimated share of posts. Once you track a theme, Socialinsider matches it against all of the profile's posts, so you get complete numbers.
Are AI themes the same as the old Industry Content Pillars?
No. Industry Content Pillars used fixed themes per industry. AI themes are based on each profile's own posts, and you choose which ones to track.
Can a post belong to more than one theme?
Yes. A post can be part of several themes at once, including themes from Query Builder and Manual Themes.
What if a suggestion isn't relevant?
Click 'Dismiss' and it's removed from the profile's suggestions.
