The Content Pillars benchmark visualization helps you compare how different streaming platforms structure and perform with their content across social media.

Here's how to understand and use this feature:

  • Understanding the Layout

    • The left column shows the profiles you have in the Benchmarks section (Netflix, HBO, and Mubi in this case), each with their entertainment industry classification

    • The second column displays the content pillars (main content themes) for each profile

    • The next column shows the number of posts associated with each content pillar

    • The column on the right shows the average engagement rate by followers for each content pillar

Key Features

πŸ‘‰ Multiple Profile Comparison

You can view multiple entertainment profiles side-by-side to analyze their content strategy. In this example, four major streaming services are being compared.

πŸ‘‰ Content Pillar Overview

Each profile shows its top content themes. For example:

  • Netflix and HBO both use categories like "Event Coverage & Live Updates" and "Fan Engagement & Interactive Content"

  • Mubi focuses on themes like "Nostalgia & Throwback Content"

πŸ‘‰ Post Distribution

The numbers on the right indicate how many posts fall under each content pillar. This helps you understand which themes are most frequently used by each platform.

πŸ‘‰ Understand Performance

Sometimes, it is not very relevant to see how many posts were published under that content pillar is not very relevant. That's why the engagement rate is also displayed.

❗️ Important Note

As indicated at the top of the visualization, a single post can belong to multiple content pillars, allowing for flexible content categorization and more accurate theme tracking.

Use Content Pillars to:

  • Identify successful content themes across competitors

  • Compare content strategy approaches between different streaming services

  • Discover potential content gaps in your own strategy

  • Track which content pillars generate the most engagement

  • Understand how competitors categorize and distribute their content

πŸš€ Keep in mind that in this visualization, you can see both Manual & AI Content Pillars for each profile/ brand you have in your project.
