In this report, we show the performance of your postings across multiple social networks, and what campaigns your competitors are running.

This Strategy feature gives a side-by-side comparison of posts’ tags to understand which one performs better.

Here are five actionable ways to use this report ⇣

1. Compare campaigns across multiple social media networks

Once you’ve created your tags and applied them to your posts, it means you’re ready to view the real power of post tags: analysis.

Here you’ll get a handy table with the aggregated insights for all your campaigns.

You can see all your tagged campaigns from each platform and the engagement for them.

You can compare the postings side by side and understand how postings are distributed for each campaign.

For my use case, I'd like to know why the Mothers' Day campaign performed well this year compared to 2019. Data shows me that there were more posts this year than the previous year, and more profiles published more posts for this campaign.

2. Measure engagement by social channel

For more in-depth content analysis, select 'Campaign Details' from the menu bar.

Then toggle them by campaign name from the dropdown.

Let's say I'd like to see how the 'Mothers' Day' performed this year and which channel performed better in terms of engagement.

You'll get a breakdown of posting and how they are distributed for each channel, distribution of engagement, and a list of top 10 posts ranked by engagement.

For my use case, we can understand that the 'Mothers' Day' campaign, Instagram returns a higher engagement rate, even though there were more postings on Twitter with this keyword.

In conclusion, in 2021 definitely, fashion brands should push their efforts on Instagram, and focus on this platform when it comes to 'Mothers' Day' campaigns

3. Compare the 2019's campaigns with the results of 2020

Let’s say you’ll like to compare the results of the Mothers’ Day campaign in 2020 with what happened in 2019.

Select the time range needed, search through posts using this keyword - mothersday - and create a new tag - mothersday2019.

Repeat these steps for 2020 too with a new campaign tag - mothersday2020.

Select Campaigns for the sidebar, and you’ll get a side by side comparison of what happened in 2019 compared with the results of 2020.

For example, in 2020 Gap decided to run a ‘Mother’s Day’ campaign only on Instagram. They had zero postings on Facebook and Twitter.

They created eleven posts for Instagram, and the total engagement was 390k+ which is much higher compared with the total engagement for 2019.

Start by adding the pages or profiles of your top competitors, tag the posts, then compare their performance with your postings.

6. Get a deeper content analysis with posts tags

With the Posts Tagging feature, you can go beyond your typical data and get in-depth insights into what posts formats, visuals, captions, and emoji resonate with your audience.

Here’s how to get started 👇

You can measure your content goals across all social networks with posts tagging.

We have a few different ways to tag posts within Socialinsider, so here’s a quick introduction.

How to tag posts from the Posts Newsfeed section

Once you’ve added profiles or business pages into the Socialinsider dashboard, you can access the ‘Posts Newsfeed’ section where you can look at all content across all social media profiles within the project.

➤ Step 1 - Select Posts Newsfeed from the sidebar. Choose the platform you’d like to analyze the content from or run a cross-channel content analysis.

➤ Step 2  - Choose the time range needed.

Step 3 - If you want to tag posts across Facebook, Instagram, Instagram Stories Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok start by searching for a keyword and get a list of postings with that keyword.

In my case, I’d like to see all Levis postings across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube with this hashtag - #liveinlevis.

➤ Step 4 - Once you’ve started to build up your set of tags, it’s easy to pick one from the list and assign it to the posts you want tagged.

How to tag posts from the profile section

Another option to tag posts in Socialinsider is to access this feature from the profile section. Let’s say I’d like to tag some Facebook posts from Levi’s page.

Step 1: Select ‘Levi’s’ Facebook page from the sidebar

➤ Step 2 - Once you’ve selected the time range needed, go to the Posts section.

➤ Step 3 - Search through posts by using a keyword, then manually tag them.

In my case, I’d like to see all Levi's postings on Instagram with the #liveinlevis hashtag. For the last 90 days, Levi’s published seven posts using this keyword.

❗️Tip: The search bar functions under the rules of boolean search, with the same modifiers: AND, OR, NOT, Asterisk, Parentheses, Quotation Marks.

➤ Step 4 - Create a campaign tag, then start tagging them with that tag name.

Similarly, you can do the same for Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, or TikTok.

To untag posts just hit the ‘X’ icon from the tag name and the post will be excluded from that list.

How to use the Auto-Tagging feature

To super-speed the process of creating campaigns, use the auto-tag option.

You can access it from both the Posts Newsfeed section as well as directly from your profile, similar to manual tags.

Use boolean search to enter a keyword or phrase related to your campaign, in order to identify the related posts.

Once you write down the keyword, select Auto Tag.

Select the campaign in which you want to include these posts, then simply click the "Create Auto Tag" button.

All done! All of your posts containing the selected keyword will automatically be tagged.
